Hi all,

I received my personal DNA report along with my 30 day supply of customized, genetically guided Daily DNA Vitamins. First, I read my personal DNA report. As I suspected, I need Big Time support in the “healthy heart” area. Since my Mom’s side of the family have all had heart problems, I was expecting this. I also need support for colesterol and a few other issues. But, in general, I’m in pretty good shape. It’s sure great to have this kind of information available. Now I have the information I need to customize a health regiment that is targeted to my individual needs. I don’t have to accept the “one size fits all approach”. I feel really good about the investment I made.

Now, for the negative side (or so I thought). My vitamin formulation requires that I take 5 capsules in the am, and 5 at night. I can mix them into a beverage, or just swallow them. But I don’t really like swallowing pills, so I was kind of put off when I read this. And since I haven’t been a big supplement taker in the past, I thought this was “alot to swallow” (ha ha). Then I was in Nordstrom’s and my friend and I began talking to the Perricone specialist who gave us some samples. One of them was a packet of vitamins that needs to be taken daily. THERE WERE 8 PILLS IN IT - plus they also recommended an additional powdered supplement to mix into a beverage.  After checking a few other brands, I found that multiple pills seem to be the norm to get good vitamin benefits. Ok. Here goes……..

I took my morning capsules with 8 oz of chilled, unsweetened iced tea (my beverage of choice most days - at least before 5pm). The capsules were easy to swallow! Great. And…half an hour later, I did NOT have an upset stomach like I did with other vitamins I took in the past. I think this is going to work for me.

Next, I’ll share the list of stuff that’s in my supplement.

Talk to you later.
